During covid pandemic, the platform began working in creative dialogue and collaboration between Europe’s leading denim hub Amsterdam, London, and other European cities. The team includes Finnish and British designers and artists and 4 young Dutch denim talents who have worked closely with the curator Jani Kaila and denim sustainability specialist Maarten Wentholt.

Veerkracht’s capsule collection at Fashion in Helsinki 2022 was featured on the award winning denim influencer and blogger Wouter Munnichs Long John blog.
Scandinavian MIND, a magazine and web platform exploring the intersection of lifestyle and technology, ran an editorial feature on the Veerkracht FashionLabs.
The Veerkracht project was featured in a half page story in the 2022 Summer edition (see above) of Finland’s most popular fashion magazine Gloria.
BLUE magazine which is available in print and online, spotlighted the ongoing work and processes of the Veerkracht project in a 3-page article within its ninth issue (see below).
The UAL Alumni Association hosts events throughout the year, including international group meet ups, creative workshops, panel discussions and opportunities to share knowledge.
Jani and the Veerkracht team were invited to take part at a presentation and panel discussion with UAL alumni who are using their entrepreneurial and creative skills to build a better world with sustainable solutions to the many ecological issues facing the global fashion industry today.
People visiting the Garden Room Kämp Galleria for an exhibition curated by Jani Kaila for Fashion in Helsinki in Helsinki, spent a long time chatting with the Veerkracht team about climate change, greenwashing, ecological issues, fashion waste and, more importantly, how we can find natural alternative solutions to all of these harmful processes.
